Teens (14+)

In today's fast-paced world, teenagers often face overwhelming pressure from academic demands, social expectations, and familial responsibilities, leading to feelings of stress, anxiety, and confusion.

Being a teenager can be tough. Adolescence is a time of self-discovery and figuring out who you are as a person. You may have questions about your identity, values, and where you fit into the world. Additionally, as a teenager you may be experiencing a whirlwind of emotions, responsibilities, and expectations. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and like you are struggling to keep up. Therapy can provide you with a safe space to unload these feelings and gain clarity on how to manage them. I am dedicated to guiding teens towards greater self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth.

Teen Autonomy

To start therapy, I will do a consultation call with both you and your parent(s) or legal guardian(s). Parental consent must be given to start therapy. However, after the consultation and first few minutes of the initial appointment, I believe in keeping the information you share in sessions confidential.

As a therapist, I believe in creating a safe space where you can openly share, process, and explore your thoughts and feelings. So I won’t tell your parents what we are talking about unless there are safety concerns. For example, if someone has hurt you, or if you express a desire to hurt yourself or others, I will need to tell your parents.
